I applied and submitted everything, but the approval took more than 10 days! For a big bank like this, I expected faster service. I was really frustrated by the delay, but they did eventually approve the loan.

Everything seemed okay until I saw the many conditions attached to the loan. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought. There were a lot of hidden terms and conditions that I had to go through before signing.

I had questions about my loan, but the customer service wasn’t helpful at all. I felt like they didn’t care about my concerns. Just not the level of service I expected from a big bank like Public Bank.

Public Bank’s interest rate is way too high for a personal loan. They make it sound like a good deal at first, but when you read the fine print, it’s just too expensive. I regret taking this loan.

I want to settle the outstanding balance in my housing loan and close the loan account with PBB. I checked with the loan department in kuching but noone can give me the exact ADVICE in regards to the amount owe, liability (if any), and any other details i should be aware of as a customer. I was told to check with my Developer instead and write in to PBB to officiate the process.

Bank is the disbursement party and I owe the bank not the developer. Therefore, as a customer, PBB should be the one who has all the access to the loan record.

I am keen to bring this up to a Bank Negara’s contact to file a case on such appalling response.

Is there anyone in the PBB HQ to manage such matter where I can be direct to a right Loan Head? Thanks and appreciates this!

My housing loan was approved on 14 June 2024, but till now the CCRIS report still showing my application although I have declined the offer.

The banker already informed the officer to decline the application for so many times but there is no action yet.

It has been 3 months. Any PBB officer or CS can assist me? Or should I lodge a complaint to BNM?

If you want to attend tuition class on how to use online banking, do come to this branch. All the frontline staff busy teaching people how to use internet. Though you arrive earlier, you need to wait for almost 30 minutes to one hour just for simple transactions. Not only that, some staff were quite rude and wrong information was given. Only certain groups have VIP treatments.

The house loan department even worse, no one at the counter despite waited for 15 minutes.

Overall, bad service and rude staff.

I’ve had many poor customer service experiences at different Public Bank branches in the past and I’ve always held my tongue because I think that someone is just having a bad day, etc. Despite those spotty experiences I’ve stayed a loyal customer for over 40 years. But my experience at this branch today was probably the worse of the worse lot to date.

I hope this message gets the attention of the Branch Manager and Senior Managers at Public Bank. You are a listed company that prides itself for its countless awards. You should be concerned about how your staff are representing your brand!

It should not matter who your customer is. Whether it is a student, a housewife, an elderly person or a shabbily dressed person, EVERY CUSTOMER deserved to be treated with respect and with courtesy! After all, most of Public Bank’s success is attributable to its customers.

So, please train and re-train your staff well. Send your managers to other banks to observe how customers are treated there. If they are treated just as bad, then you know how not to behave. If they are treated much better than expected, then you know which areas you need to focus on.

p/s – The poor reviews you have been receiving for your bank is affirmation of my poor experience today. I really hope Public Bank will make better gains on its customer service.
